The Relationship between Religiosity of Parents and Children in Catholics ? The Role of Parents in Adolescents Religious Practice

This article is based on the “Religion and Human Rights 2,0” research, a survey carried out in Croatia (N = 1286) conducted high school, Gymnasium, students 17-19 years old. It examines influence of parents’ religiosity religious practice adolescents among Catholics 1097). There are three dominant questions to be addressed article: a) how much does their parents young people? b) affect specific dimensions (the frequency prayer, going church) c) impact parent’s child differ cases where they both same sex which not? The results, obtained by series linear regression analyses show that there some people. also shown same-sex parent this respect (mother-daughter, father-son), while incentive or compulsion go mass shows effect only father-daughter dyad. findings confirm importance parental for youth little bit more church attendance than prayer.
